Seeing an opportunity to take is expertise to the next level, John, along with his brother Jim, established TCS Heating and Air Conditioning. Their goal was to provide top-notch HVAC services with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
John’s contributions to the sheet metal industry extended beyond his work at TCS. He served on numerous committees and eventually became president of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association (SMCA) of Philadelphia. Additionally, he was a dedicated board member of the Home Builders Association of Bucks County and actively participated in Habitat for Humanity, giving back to the community in meaningful ways.
John’s son, Bill Burke, spent his summers working in the field, learning the HVAC trade while attending school. After completing his college degree in business management from West Chester University in 1995, Bill joined TCS full-time. He continued to work in the field until 2000, when he transitioned to the management side of the business.
Bill immersed himself in various aspects of the company, including project management, estimating, sales, layout & design, accounting, and business management. His innovative approach set a new direction for TCS, and under his leadership, the company has thrived. Bill’s focus on maintaining a motivated and professional employee base has been key to TCS’s continued success.
In 2018, Bill’s wife, Dawn Burke, made a pivotal career move by joining TCS full-time. With a commitment to excellence and a keen understanding of business operations, Dawn quickly began to make her mark within the company. Her exceptional ability to navigate the internal workings of TCS did not go unnoticed.
By 2021, just three years after joining the company, Dawn ascended to the role of Managing Partner. This promotion was a testament to her dedication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. Dawn’s contributions are multifaceted, including managing payroll, employee benefits, Human Resources, handling contracts & certified payroll submissions, software implementation, project-based work for our software platforms, insurance & banking operations. Her efforts have been instrumental in streamlining operations and driving the company’s growth.
TCS Heating and Air Conditioning, built on the strong foundations laid by John Burke and continuously strengthened by Bill and Dawn Burke, looks to the future with optimism and determination.
